A – Action ​
​The most successful businesses I consult with all have one or two key metrics that they use to gauge their performance.

For our business, The Smoothie Shop & Supplements, our goal is to serve approximately 100 people each day at each location. If we do that, the company works as intended.

Pick one or two metrics to assess the health of your projects quickly.

L – Lesson ​
​It's tough to create something new when you've got a bunch of half-baked projects lying around. Whether you realize it or not, these projects consume your headspace. Be cautious about what you let into your mind and allow yourself to abandon projects that no longer serve you.

Life is full of safe-to-fail experiments.

U – Upgrade
​My wife and I love Monarch, a finance app that helps track and visualize all your finances in one place. We love how we can manage our assets and liabilities, and work together to build the life we want.

The app gets bonus points for the ability to include assets, such as businesses or other items you want to assign value to, that aren't tied to an online account.

I appreciate how the connections to our accounts remain (mostly) stable, unlike previous apps that tried to solve this problem, such as Mint.
